2008 Mini Tour Captain Morgan & Roossy90 of Roadfood.com We started in Socastee at: The Hot Dog Queen 8724-D Hwy 707 Myrtle Beach SC 29588
Next we headed to Peaches Corner but they were closed. Peaches Corner 900 N Ocean Blvd Myrtle Beach 843-448-7424 Which is the quintessential old school Myrtle Beach joint..by the beach, decades of memories....most folks say they have the best hot dog in town. However, they aren't answering their phone, so they may be closed in January.. plenty of joints here are closed in the off season. Then we headed to: Burkey's Grill 3901 North Kings Highway Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 843-626-2888 "Burky's Grill is owned and operated by Wayne Burkart former owner of G.D. Ritzy's. You will experience the same 1950's Soda Fountain atmosphere, and the same menu that you came to know and love at Ritzy's, only the name has changed! We offer fresh burgers, Sabrett's 100% beef hot dogs..."
Didn't get there: Sams Corner 7718 North Kings Highway Myrtle Beach, SC 843-449-3342 Sam's Corner...there are two locations...one in Garden City across from the beach, and one in Myrtle Beach that we will visit. Both I believe are still open 24 hours, and claim the title of best hot dogs in Myrtle Beach. Lots of people tell me they used to be, but now they claim the service sucks and are too expensive...not trying to influence Roos here, but we'll be the judge of that! Below our two 2008 Myrtle Beach Mini Tour explorers Jim aka (Captain Morgan) & Tara aka (Roossy90) of Roadfood.com. Our thanks for their time to give the Hot Dog enthusiasts additional knowledge. They have shown how much fun & enjoyment can be found with a mini tour. THANK YOU Jim and Tara
I'm not rating or looking to start a forum. I think Roadfood.com is great. I'm trying to give the vendors an idea of the quality of their food. I will not bad mouth any vendor because they may be advertising. I will take bad comments and let the vendor know. I'm looking to help even the little push cart vendor who has no address per say. I'm giving them a 6 month free listing which includes setup fee. At the end of 6 months it will cost $10.00 a year for the listing. They get one page of advertising. If any vendor doesn't want to continue advertising they will still have a free listing in our Hot Dog Vendors Database. This site not only helps the vendor, but also the hot dog lover looking for a hot dog fix. Sincerely John Sagi Please include business name, address, city/town county, state & website link.
